My friend at school, Susan Gillis, made this blanket for Morgan. The stitches all have different meanings - there's Irish moss, seeds, XOX's, the Trinity stitch, the cable stitch (for luck) and a stitch she designed herself combining a couple of stitches that represent the stone fences in Ireland and connectedness to prior generations.
